The second round of Zittau bubbling

After the successful first workshop with the children of class 4A, we followed up with another creative session on September 18, 2024, with their classmates from class 4B. While the concept remained the same, this workshop brought new moments and surprises.

As is our custom, the workshop began with a brief scientific explanation, where Karolína explained to the children how bubbles form, why they are round, and how rainbow effects appear on their surface. Just like their classmates, the children of class 4B enthusiastically jumped into the bubble experiments.

This time, we were prepared – we colored twice the amount of bubble liquid, knowing from the previous workshop how quickly the children use up the colors. Yet, what we didn't expect happened – after just one hour, almost all the liquid was gone! The children were so fascinated by the bubble experiments that bubbles were flying everywhere, and the color disappeared in record time.

As in the previous workshop, the class was divided into two groups – one group created artistic works with bubbles, while the other played with various types of bubble blowers. Bubble gloves, giant bubbles, and bubble swords were again the hits of the day. However, this time, the children from class 4B engaged even more enthusiastically, and the resulting artwork resembled literal storms of color!

Once again, student Tereza Sedláčková helped us by translating and facilitating communication with the children. Thanks to her presence and the smooth course of the workshop, we all had a great time and captured beautiful moments in photos. Pavel, our photographer, documented every moment – from the first excited puff into the bubble blower to the final cleanup.

We would like to thank the children, teachers, and Lessing primary school for their cooperation. This time too, the children went home not only with colorful fingers and colorful stains on their clothes, but, most importantly, with smiles on their faces and plenty of wonderful memories.

We look forward to more events where we will once again combine art, science, and the boundless imagination of children!
